I tried watching an episode of the TV show Outsourced and didn’t make it through, but the movie is great! Highly recommended.

Unless you live in Australia. In which case, you can go and ask an American or UK resident for a pirated copy. :P

post-happy hour with friends: when I should be going to bed but end up on Tumblr instead

  • Parliaments are great until they mix with the hair stuff I use: finally, the answer to “why does my hair smell like that?”
  • Thinking about moving cross-country is really fucking stressful.
  • Happy hour with the old crowd ist sehr gefaehrlich. Hamburger, Frites, Eis, Kaffee…
  • (back to reviewing German finally)
  • Should I stop putting “Mandarin Chinese” down on my resume? I’m terrible.
  • whiskey sours are only good when I make them.
  • I’m wearing a TARDIS ring, and I feel like a badass because of it.
  • My other tumblr is way classier.

Skrillex remix of “In for the Kill”: yes, yes, yes. I get cravings for this.

My favorite youtube comment for this video:

this is dirtier than farting on a cold window and licking the condensation.

Things that are great about this video

  • Sir Michael Caine
  • this actually works
  • all I can think of is Doctor Who
  • DON’T BLINK

“And I don’t blink, and I just keeping going…”

Channelling this today.

So I got myself some of these yesterday.

I keep clenching my jaws, but at least I can close my mouth (never could with braces). And I can’t snack, smoke, or drink without having to brush my teeth afterwards… so this will probably make me healthier. Hah! It’ll be a fun 10 months…

Assorted Fountainhead thoughts.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Howard Roark is my only definite.

As I posted before, I really like the idea of Cate Blanchett as Dominique Francon, but is she too old?

If we’re forgetting about age/if we’re capable of fantasy-casting with the help of a time machine, someone like a young James Spader for Steven Mallory.

I think someone on IMDB suggested John Malkovich for Toohey, which I can totally see, but I wonder if there is someone smaller and, well, greasier.

At first I thought any young, good looking actor would do for Peter Keating, but then he has to go through that big transformation. Tough. As is Gail Wynand… more on this later.
